Savior Mode 04:21
To the great unknown. Before you hit the road, Have you searched within? Or inside? I don’t really want to make you sad And I would hate it if I made you uncomfortable. I’m in savior mode So I’ll let you go Swallowing my pride You’re out the door So I’ll spare you all my emotions this time Now that you might die I find it selfish to pain you with wanting closure Cause it’s closed. I know. Mr. Sacrifice. Make it barely known But can it still remain inside? When you leave for the voices calling you home, Will I grieve or will I miss anything at all? I don’t even have a photograph of us happy and healthy to hold on to I’m in savior mode So I’ll let you go If there was a moment to lay it all down It’s now, right now. But I just can’t see it coming out my mouth Oh well. (I’ll stay, so quiet now) (I can’t let it out, what’s the point of now? Keep the feeling down, Swallowing again)

Last to Know 06:29
Guess I’m late, please do forgive. Everybody’s asking “where you been”? I could never keep up with these kids And how they make me feel like I’m the last to know Of what you did. Everybody knew so much of it And how he just showed up on your trip. Yeah that’s something you forgot to mention. I was always too quick to forgive. Deep inside my heart I felt like I deserved all this. I don’t know how anyone could have some love to give. I stay in the dark so I cannot discover it. I’ll always be the last to know. I’ll always be the last to show Any sign of passion. Oh.. My fears, they keep me rational. While you drown in Aperol. I’m erased. You want to keep me as your secret. Oh it’s a shame and it’s pitiful. I’ll always be the last to know. I’ll be your little afterthought. Your escape. You want to keep me for your selfish cause But I can’t keep up anymore. I don’t need to be disposed. I could die from the embarrassment. I’ll live in the dark and never see the light again. Just like you wanted. I admire your lack of regret. I will never be somebody you can just forget. When it keeps you up at night when you lay down in bed, I will not feel sorry for you, this is what you get. My shoulder is colder, these days And I’m a little older, I smolder in shame.
